Four reasons why we want to live in a flexitarian city:

    1. Easy and exciting meat-free and low meat options

More diversity in restaurants and inspiration to cook your own.

    2. A greener city

The livestock sector is one the biggest contributors to the most serious environmental problems we face according to the UNFAO.

    3. A healthier population

Many of us are eating far more processed meat and red meat than is recommended for our health. Replacing some of the meat with plant proteins and eating better will reduce rates of heart disease, obesity and cancer in our city.

    4. Supporting local, higher welfare meat

Switching to local, higher welfare producers can improve the lives of animals and farmers, but to ensure we can meet this demand we do need to reduce the total amount we eat.
